The new image cropping tool in Trendspek allows you to easily adjust and customise your images associated with annotations for better clarity and precision. This tool gives you the flexibility to crop both the featured and supporting images linked to your 3D model annotations.

Video Overview

Using the Cropping Tool

Cropping the Featured Image

  • When an annotation is created, the featured image is automatically set to the best match image used for the 3D model.

  • To crop the featured image, click on the image, then right-click and drag to select the area you want to crop.

  • Once satisfied with the crop, click Confirm to apply the changes

    Cropping the Supporting Image

    • The supporting image initially defaults to a screenshot of the 3D model.

    • To adjust the supporting image, click on it, then click Clear to reset the image

    • You can zoom in or out depending on your needs, then click Update to regenerate and crop the image as required.

Managing Cropped Images

Images Tab

  • Navigate to the Images tab, where you’ll see your cropped images. The featured image will be highlighted with a badge.

  • You can set any image as either the featured or supporting image by right-clicking on the desired image and selecting Make Featured Image or Make Supporting Image.

  • To crop any image, use the same workflow described above for either the featured or supporting image.

Storing Cropped Images

  • Cropped images are stored in the Files tab and are easily identifiable with their featured or supporting badges.

Standardised Terminology in PDF Report Builder

  • The Featured Image Placeholder and Supporting Image Placeholder terminology is standardised across the PDF format and Report Builder, ensuring consistency when displaying images in reports.
