How to Create and Manage Custom Field Folders in Templates

Custom Field Folders help to efficiently organise and manage your custom fields within templates.

To create custom field folders, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard and select Templates from the menu.

2. Add and Name a Group (Folder)

Once your template is created, click Add Group to create a new folder. Be sure to name your group appropriately to reflect its content or purpose. This is where you will organise your custom fields.

3. Add Custom Fields to the Group

After creating a group, click Add New Field to add your custom fields to that folder. You can organise multiple fields within each group/folder based on their function or type.

πŸ’‘Note: You must drag the custom field under the folder/group to ensure it is properly organised within the group.

4. Create Multiple Groups/Folders

You can create multiple groups/folders within a single template to further organise your custom fields. This helps in managing larger sets of data efficiently.

5. Remove a Group (Folder) if Necessary

If you need to remove a group/folder due to an error or change in organisation, you can easily delete it. Simply select the group you wish to remove and click the Delete option to make adjustments to your template.

Using the Template in an Annotation

Once your template is set up with custom folders and fields, it will appear neatly organised when creating a new annotation.
