Company Roles & Asset Roles

Written by Josh Sinclair

Every user of Trendspek requires a Company Role.

If a user needs access to an Asset, they would also need an Asset Role.

Company Role

A company role controls the level of access of your organisation’s account with Trendspek.

We recommend you consider the roles and descriptions in the table below to help define your users permission levels.

If a user needs access to an Asset, they would also need an Asset Role.

A Viewer has limited access to your organisation’s account. They can only access assets they have been explicitly granted permission to view.

A User has limited access to your organisation’s account. They can view assets they have explicit access to, plus additional assets for which they can request access as needed. Recommended for general users such as internal staff, engineers, and contractors.

Administrators can create, edit, and delete users, assign and manage roles, delete assets and pending share requests, and access the Trendspek API Key. Administrators can see all assets on the Dashboard but have no default access to their contents. Recommended for billing stakeholders, company administrators, or key account owners.

An Asset role is required for users who wish to have access to an asset. There are varying levels of asset roles to ensure security controls are in place.
