You might be wondering what the difference is between a Company Role and an Asset Role?

Company Roles control the level of access that a user has over your organisation's account within Trendspek. A user can only have a single role for your organisation and this determines whether a user can perform company related functionality such as:

  • Viewing assets that belong to your company

  • Uploading a new dataset

  • Viewing and editing billing/subscription details

  • Deleting an asset

A user can have Company Roles for more than one company, allowing for inter-company asset sharing.

Asset Roles control whether a user can view an asset in Trendspek. Additionally, Asset Roles control what a user is able to do for a single asset. This includes functionality such as:

  • Viewing Annotations

  • Creating Annotations

  • Sending PDF Reports

  • Deleting Files

To view an asset, Users will require both an Asset Role and a Company Role within your company.
