Company Roles control the level of access that a user has over your organisation's account within Trendspek. A user can only have a single role for your organisation and this determines whether a user can perform company related functionality.

Viewer

A Viewer has limited access to your organisation’s account. They can only access assets they have been explicitly granted permission to view.

User

A User has limited access to your organisation’s account. They can view assets they have explicit access to, plus additional assets for which they can request access as needed. Recommended for general users such as internal staff, engineers, and contractors.

Manager

Suited to asset managers who require a company-wide view of all assets. This role includes some organisational controls, such as editing company-wide settings (e.g., templates). Asset Managers can see all assets on the Dashboard but have no default access to their contents. Recommended for asset managers overseeing multiple sites or portfolios.

Administrator

Holds the highest level of permissions, including the ability to manage billing, company details, and account-wide settings. Administrators can see all assets on the Dashboard but have no default access to their contents. Recommended for billing stakeholders or key account owners.

A user can have Company Roles for more than one company, allowing for inter-company asset sharing - see this article about the Company Switcher for more information.

Trendspek provides you with four default Company Roles as well as the ability to create custom roles. From the TS Homepage, go to: Settings tab > Company > Roles > Company Role

When you click on a specific Company Role, a side panel will open displaying a detailed description of the role and its associated permissions.

To create a new role, click the Add Company Role button. Enter a name and description for the role, then select the permissions you want to assign. Once done, click Save to create the new role.
