Company Roles control the level of access that a user has over your organisation's account within Trendspek. A user can only have a single role for your organisation and this determines whether a user can perform company related functionality such as:

  • Viewing assets that belong to your company

  • Uploading a new dataset

  • Viewing and editing billing/subscription details

  • Deleting an asset

A user can have Company Roles for more than one company, allowing for inter-company asset sharing - see this article about the Company Switcher for more information.

Trendspek provides you with four default Company Roles as well as the ability to create custom roles. From the Dashboard, navigate to Permissions > Company Roles

Here you will see an overview of the Company Roles that are currently available within your organisation.

Clicking on a Company Role from the list will expand downwards to display the Role Editor view. Here you can see what permissions the selected role contains, as well as modify the role by checking and unchecking permissions as desired. The Users view towards the bottom of the page provides you an overview of all users that have the selected role.

To create a new role, scroll back to the top of the Company Roles page and click on Create New Role. You will need to name the role, add a description, and check any permissions you want to associate with the role. Click Save Company Role once you are ready to create the new role.
