This guide was prepared using DJI Terra Pro version 4.2.3

Begin by creating a new Visible Light Reconstruction Mission.

Under Photos, add your imagery to the project.

Under Aerotriangulation, ensure that the following is performed.

  1. Under the Advanced menu, check the XML Output Format.

  2. A menu will expand downwards.

  3. Under Output Coordinate System select Known Coordinate System

  4. Click on import PRJ next to Known Coordinate System and select the 4978.prj file provided here.

It is essential that the above steps are followed before commencing processing, otherwise the outputs will not be compatible with Trendspek.

Under 3D Model settings - we recommend high resolution for best results, ensure that the following items are checked.

Click on Start Reconstruction to begin the process.

Once complete, return to the mission library and click on the Export button for the project.

Ensure you export the photos, 3D Models and Aerotriangulation results as seen below.

Once exported, unzip the zip. We now must structure the data accordingly for Trendspek.

  1. Within the zip, you will find a file called BlocksExchangeUndistortAT.xml in folder AT/. Copy this file to your clipboard.

  2. Paste BlocksExchangeUndistortAT.xml inside models/pc/0/terra_b3dms/ and rename the file to matrix.xml

  3. rename models/pc/0/terra_b3dms/ to models/pc/0/3d-tiles/

  4. ZIP models/pc/0/3d-tiles/ into 3d-tiles.zip

Upload to Trendspek

Start by navigating to https://trendspek.cloud/myuploads If you are unable to access this page, you may not have sufficient privileges. Contact Trendspek Support or your account admin to confirm.

Upload the following items in one go:

  • 3d-tiles.zip

  • the jpg imagery found within the ZIP images/survey/

    • Do not drag a folder of imagery to Trendspek, instead, drag the imagery itself or use the file picker

The Trendspek team will perform a final quality control step before making your dataset available in your account. You will receive an email once it is ready.
