Creating an Annotation

To create an annotation, right-click on the model and click start drawing.

Weβve created a Pin (below), but you can create a line or a polygon just by continuing to right-click.

Click finish when youβre done.
β
Click create to open up the annotation and give your annotation a name.

Here, Trendspek will autosave.

Overview Tab
The overview tab shows the drawing type and some information about the drawing on the 3D model, including:
Measurement Information
Unique ID - which can be copied as a link, allowing you to share the annotation with a colleague
Camera Position
Description
Measurement Information
This includes measurement information about the drawing, including:
Latitude
Longitude
Elevation
Depending on the drawing type, additional information is available.

Drawing a line would include the lineβs length and slope.

Drawing a polygon would include the perimeter and the area as well as optional volume measurements.
Unique ID
Every annotation generates a unique Annotation ID. This can be copied as a link, allowing you to share the annotation with a colleague.

Visual
The default pose or position of the camera can be updated so that when a user views this annotation, they will, by default, see the current view. They can also adjust the view as needed.
There are two images: featured and supporting images.
You can change this position by moving the camera accordingly and clicking update. However, clicking reset will take you back to the previously saved position.
Description
Description is a fixed field where further information about the annotation can be added.
Drawings Tab
The Drawings Tab is where you can restyle the current drawing.

Here you can change the icon and the colour.

Data Tab
The Data Tab is where you can utilise the Trendspek Template system.

Current Template
The Current Template field displays the template assigned to the annotation. You can select a different template from the dropdown menu or remove the assigned template if required.

Defect Notes
Use the Defect Notes field to record additional information about the defect, observation, or annotation.

Severity
The Severity dropdown allows you to classify the seriousness or priority level of the annotation.

Type
Use the Type dropdown to classify the annotation by selecting the appropriate defect type.

Templates may contain additional fields tailored to your organisation's workflow, helping ensure annotation data is captured consistently and reported accurately. Once a template is assigned, any configured fields will automatically become available based on that template's settings.

Images Tab
The Images Tab allows you to view all of the original images captured by the drone that contain the defect.

This tab allows you to view the images, see further information, download the images for offline analysis, and produce an updated list of images by clicking regenerate.
Files Tab
The Files Tab allows you to upload and catalogue additional data.

There are no restrictions as to what you can upload and store within the files tab however it will count towards your plan's storage capacity.

There is a folder system here as well, so you can create custom folders to organise your files.

You can right-click on a file to perform the following actions:
Rename File β Change the file name.
Download β Download the selected file to your device.
Set as Featured Image β Assign the file as the featured image for the annotation.
Crop to Featured Image β Crop the image and save it as the featured image.
Set as Supporting Image β Assign the file as a supporting image for the annotation.
Crop to Supporting Image β Crop the image and save it as a supporting image.
Delete File β Permanently remove the file from the annotation.
Discussion Tab
The Discussions Tab allows you to collaborate with other stakeholders, so you can send messages directly within the annotation here.

History Tab
The history tab outlines the history of the annotation card β Who created it? Who changed it? When did they change it? What did they change?

The history is laid out in an easy-to-consume timeline, which you can see below.
