Right-Click to Draw, Browse and Copy Links

Right Click is now one of the key interactions within the Trendspek Viewport.

Right Click on the 3D Model to open the Viewport Context Menu as shown below.
โ€‹

From within the Viewer Context Menu you can:

  • ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Start a new drawing

  • ๐Ÿ–‡๏ธ Copy a deep link to the current view

You will also find Right Click Context Menus within:

Annotation Data structure

Definitions

Asset

When you upload a dataset to Trendspek, an asset is created. This typically represents a single structure, such as a warehouse, but could also represent and entire facility such as an oil and gas plant.
โ€‹

Dataset

Datasets belong to an asset and typically represent that assetโ€™s condition at that point in time. As an example, your oil and gas plant dataset from January 21, 2022.

Datasets can also represent different types of asset capture, such as thermal imaging, LiDAR or BIM.

Annotation

An annotation is any identified defect, markup, measurement, line drawing or comment on your dataset. Annotations will auto-populate in the Annotation List of your dataset, which you can organise by folders, icons, colour coding and more.

Annotation data is still associated to the dataset it is drawn against, but Annotations are now viewable across all datasets for a given asset.
โ€‹

This allows you to more effectively interrogate how defects are changing.
โ€‹

Weโ€™ve added a new dataset filter to the Annotation List allowing you to isolate annotations for a single dataset if required.
โ€‹

How do I save?

In Trendspek 2.0, changes and new entries are immediately stored in your browser database and seamlessly synced with Trendspek in the background.

You will not have to hit Save, the platform will autosave for you to make sure your changes arenโ€™t lost.

New folder system

Trendspekโ€™s folder system has been overhauled, both within the Annotation List and the Annotation/Asset Files.
โ€‹

Nested folders are now supported, allowing you to better structure your annotation data.
โ€‹
You can drag and drop to organise your folders and move things around with ease.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro tip: Right Click a folder and choose Select Folder to set it as your active folder. Any new annotations will automatically be placed within.
