Welcome to Trendspek! To get you started quickly, let's go over some of the fundamentals of using your new software.

Logging In & Your Dashboard

  1. Visit Your Asset
    When you login, you will land on the dashboard. Depending on your access level, you will see a list of assets. You can access any of these assets by clicking the "Visit" button.

  2. Settings Panel

    Click the cog icon in the top navigation panel to make changes to your account, check and review our policies. Spend a few minutes to understand what the functions do, to make your use of Trendspek effective!

  3. Help Center
    Click the lifebuoy icon to open our Support Center, where you’ll find step-by-step guides, video explainers and walkthroughs for all our features.

  4. Platform Tools
    This side panel includes platform-wide tools, including:

    • Permissions on usage

    • Uploader tool

    • Capture Analysis tool

    • Templates to streamline processes

    • Account Management and Settings

    • Contacting the Helpdesk


In Your Asset: Top Navigation

Once you’ve clicked to view your asset, you’ll be redirected to the Inspect Page to interact with it in high-fidelity 3D. You’ll see tools within the top navigation panel, and down the right side of the page. Here’s what each nav item does.​

Asset
Asset Details: Asset name and geolocation

Relative Level: Set your asset’s relative Level

Share Asset: Invite your team to the Asset.

Discussions
Collaborate with your team about your asset, and centralise any working conversations here.

Files
Upload specific files to your asset and organise into folders to centralise data to maintain your audit trail.

Reporting
Access all your asset reporting data in a few clicks. Generate a PDF, Export to CSV.

In Your Asset: Side Navigation

View
Toggle between 2D and 3D view.

Reset
Reset the view of your 3D model.

Full Screen Mode
View your asset in full screen mode.

Settings
View your 3D model with specific photogrammetry settings.

Screenshot
Take a screenshot of your 3D model with optional view and resolution.

Clipping Box
Create a temporary clipping of your model over a specific section.

Layers
Toggle between multiple datasets and apply custom settings, within 1 single view.

Configuring Different Settings

Click the cog to view and interact your 3D model with specific settings.

  • Fly Between: Zoom into an annotation’s location when selected.

  • Collision Detection: Toggle off to fly through the model (particularly useful for underwharf/ bridge structures).

  • Labels: Show annotation labels.

  • Cameras: Location of drone cameras.

  • Drawing Visibility: Transparency of label.

  • Basemap Style: Select different backgrounds when viewing your 3D model.


Navigating Around Your Asset

Trendspek allows 360° navigation around your 3D model. You can zoom into the millimeter, orbit, pan and isolate specific areas of interest using the clipping box.

ORBITING
To orbit around with a 360° view:

  • Desktop: Click the left mouse button and hold to move around the 3D model

  • Laptop: Click the a trackpad and hold to move around the 3D model

ZOOM IN AND OUT

To zoom in and out:

  • Desktop: Use the mouse scroll wheel

  • Laptop: Use two fingers on a trackpad to scroll in and out (similar to an iPad)

PANNING

To laterally move side to side:

  • Desktop: Click the left mouse button and hold down the shift key.

  • Laptop: Click and scroll using a trackpad while holding the shift key.

CLICK TO VIEW

To open pins and annotations:

  • Desktop: Left-click on a pin with your cursor to open an annotation

  • Laptop: Tap on your trackpad to open an annotation.

CLICK TO DRAW

To start a new drawing:

  • Desktop: Right-click with your cursor to start the drawing tools

  • Laptop: Double tap on your trackpad to start the drawing tools


Creating Annotations

To Create Annotations

Right click on your model to open up the the annotation options, and click on the “Start Drawing” button. You can measure and draw polygons. Once complete click on “Finish” then “Create”.

Annotation Panel

When you click on “Create”, an Annotation Panel pops up. This is where you can capture key information about your annotation.

There are a number of sub-pages on the Annotation Panel including:

Drawings: Change icons/color

Data: Use and assign templates

Images: View all original drone capture images

Files: Upload and catalogue additional data

Panoramas: View panoramic images

Discussions: Collaborate and discuss

History: Documents audit trail of the annotation


Organising Annotations into Folders

Marking up your model is super easy using the drawing tools. You can create and neatly organise hundreds of annotations with labels, folders and sub-folders, and find something specific using the search bar.

All annotations will be listed within the Annotations List, click the on the left-hand side of the screen.


Customising Annotations

In Trendspek, update your annotations with icons and labels so that they are visible on your 3D model, making it easy to access your information quickly.

You can update these by clicking on the Annotation Panel, where the individual annotation card opens on the right. Here, update the icons to suit the category of annotations for easy visibility for the user.


Layering Data in Single View

The Layers feature is a tool to review and monitor your asset over time. Review multiple datasets of each of your assets; Single View only, Side-by-Side or Overlayed. Examples below.

You can compare asset condition over time, compare different data outputs such as Reality, Thermal, Laser Scan.


Viewing and Generating Reports

On the reporting page, access all annotations made on your 3D model, and use filtering tools to select specific data. You can export the data, display or hide specific fields.
